`Infrastructure deal of the Year'

Our Bureau

Mumbai , Dec. 27

THOMSON'S Project Finance International (PFI) has awarded Gangavaram Port Ltd the Asia-Pacific region's `Infrastructure Deal of the Year'.

SBI Capital Markets Ltd (SBI Cap) was the sole financial advisor and arranger for Gangavaram Port Ltd.

PFI is a leading source of global project finance intelligence, reporting on the entire lifecycles of deals, from the initial through to post-completion analysis.

According to PFI, India is reappearing on the radar of project financiers, and the Gangavaram Port project is one of the few significant greenfield infrastructure projects that have been concluded in the country, probably since the Asian crisis.
