THE Chennai Port Stevedores Association has got new office bearers for the term January 1, 2006 to December 31, 2007.

Mr R. Shanmugam of Express Clearing Agency and trustee in the Chennai Port Trust is the association's new President and Mr R.V. Umashankar of United Stevedores the Vice-President.

Mr V. Ravi of Bhorukha Steel is the new Secretary and Mr. S. A. Joseph of Success Shipping is Treasurer.

The new committee members are: Mr B. Loganathan (B.L. Transport), R. Venkateshwaran (Seaways Shipping), Mr. Tajudeen (Seaport Logistics), Mr S. Thyagarajan (Coastal Services), Mr L. Venkatramani (SICAL) and Mr Ishwar Achanta (Viking Shipping).
