Laser Soft bags awards for promoting rights of disabled

LASER Soft Infosystems Ltd has been presented with awards for its initiatives for the welfare of persons with disabilities.

A press release by the Mangalore branch of the company said on Wednesday that the President, Mr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, presented an award to Mr B. Suresh Kamath, Chairman and Managing Director of Laser Soft Infosystems Ltd, at a function in New Delhi recently. The award, constituted by the Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, aims at recognising people and institutions who have helped persons with disabilities to lead a better life.

The company has also been given `NCPEDP-Shell Helen Keller' award for providing equal rights and gainful employment to persons with disabilities. Mr Kamath received the award from the Union Minister for Human Resource Development, in Delhi, Mr Arjun Singh, recently.
