Gulf Oil ties up with Indian Oil for sale of car care products

GULF Oil Corporation Ltd has entered into an arrangement with Indian Oil Corporation Ltd for sale of its Gulf Car Care Products through the latter's retail outlets.

According to a statement issued here on Monday, Gulf Oil said this arrangement for sale of car care products between the two companies was expected to go a long way in offering value added products.

In Phase I, the car care products would be test marketed in five major cities — Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Ahmedabad and Chandigarh. After successful completion of the same, the products would be launched on an all-India basis.

Speaking about the product launch, Mr N.C. Sekharan, Head - Lubricants SBU of Gulf Oil, said, "We intend to work closely with IOC in order to enhance the value proposition to the Indian customers by introducing a wide range of car care products through the IOC outlets."

During the discussions between IOC and Gulf Oil marketing heads, it was decided that the following products would be introduced into the Indian market: tyre inflate and repair, A/C neutraliser, glass and crystal cleaner, dash board polish, multi functional fluid, tyre black, and wax spray.
