BANGALORE: McDowell & Co has reported pre-tax profits of Rs 11.11 crore in the second quarter of this fiscal, up by 35 per cent over the corresponding period last year (Rs 7.89 crore)

The earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBIDTA) stands at Rs 36.74 crore for the period and Rs 72.48 crore for the first half of this fiscal. This is up 82 per cent from Rs 39.9 crore (for first half) in the corresponding period last year. According to a company release, volumes of McDowell's brands have grown by 19 per cent from 9.5 million to 11.2 million cases in the first half of this fiscal. Net sales is at Rs 631 crore compared to Rs 541 crore in the same period last year.
