Tata Motors sales cross 1 million

TATA Motors today said that it has crossed the 1-million sales mark (including exports), since the first passenger car, the Tata Sierra, was rolled out in 1991.

Earlier on October 2, the company had produced its millionth passenger car.

Of the one million cars sold in the last 14 years, about 936,000 cars have been sold in India and over 64,000 in various countries.

Of them, over half a million were Indicas, over 300,000 Sumos, close to 100,000 Indigos, and about 40,000 Safaris.
