Sonata posts 42 pc profit growth

BANGALORE: Sonata Software has shown a 49 per cent revenue growth (year-on-year) to Rs 36.23 crore, yielding profit growth of 42 per cent at Rs 5.6 crore in the second quarter of fiscal 2005. The board has declared an interim dividend of 40 per cent.

According to Mr B. Ramaswamy, President and Managing Director, the consistent growth resulted from the company's focus on strengthening customer relationships.

Compared to the previous quarter, revenues have increased 20 per cent while profits have grown 10 per cent. The domestic sales and service business have grown 45 per cent while exports 17 per cent.
