Airlines SilkAir to add Singapore-Thiruvananthapuram flight Our Bureau
At present, the airline operates three flights a week between Thiruvananthapuram and Singapore. Once the new service is launched, the airline will have flights between the two cities on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. The airline also operates five flights a week between Kochi and Singapore. Meanwhile, the airline has introduced a special promotional fare on flights from Thiruvananthapuram to Singapore. The special return airfare, priced at Rs 7,999 excluding taxes, is already available and is valid for travel undertaken till November 30, the release said. SilkAir was recently recognised as the `best regional airline' at the TTG Asia Travel Awards 2005. This is the sixth time that the airline has won this award over the last 10 years, the release added.
