Gulf Oil gets Capexil export award

Hyderabad , Oct. 9

GULF Oil Corporation Ltd has been awarded the "Certificate of Merit for the year 2004-2005" at the annual Capexil Export Awards at Chennai.

The Union Finance Minister, Mr P. Chidambaram, handed over the award to Mr A.D. Sao, General Manager, Marketing, according to a company statement. The company exports were made to over 20 countries.

The Managing Director of Gulf Oil, Mr Subhas Pramanik, in a statement said, "We are glad to have met the stringent selection procedure carried out by Capexil on many occasions which is a testimonial for our persistent pursuit for high quality exports."

Mr Sukhendu Chakrabarti, Chief Operating Officer (Explosives division), has been elected as the Chairman of the Graphite & Explosives Panel of Capexil.
