RK Swamy floats new consulting division

Our Bureau

Chennai , Sept. 30

R K Swamy BBDO has launched a speciality consulting group — Collage — in the areas of branding, design and creative services.

According to a press release from the agency, the group will be separate from the agency's mainline services.

Collage will be headed by Mr Pankaj Mridul, a creative person with 20 years of experience in the industry. Before this appointment, he was heading the Delhi operations of Contract Advertising. Earlier he was with R K Swamy BBDO for six years from 1997 to 2003.

Commenting on the initiative, Mr Srinivasan Swamy, CEO, said: "We have over the years undertaken many special design and unconventional creative projects. Now the market is getting more and more specialised, and clients have been seeking specialist services to derive a competitive advantage. Our goal in creating Collage is to ensure that this area receives the focus it rightfully deserves, through appropriate staffing and management attention. We will invest to build Collage into a pan-Indian operation. We are very excited with this development."

Says Mr Mridul, "In Collage, we see the aspect of design as strategic tool, and this can provide a powerful differentiator to our clients. We will only seek and work with clients who share a similar outlook on the power of branding and design. We have already started work on a couple of projects, so there has hardly been any start-up time."

Collage has commenced operations from Gurgaon and will step into Mumbai soon.
