Infosys Mangalore centre completes ten years

Mangalore , Sept 9

THE Mangalore Development Centre of Infosys, the first development centre outside Bangalore, celebrated its tenth anniversary on Friday.

The centre, which began operations with 20 employees on September 8, 1995, has more than 1,600 employees servicing over 42 clients across the US, Europe and Asia Pacific regions.

Quoting Mr S. Gopalakrishnan, Chief Operating Officer and Deputy Managing Director of Infosys Technologies, a company release said, "It is our constant endeavour to establish tier-2 cities as key IT destinations. While Infosys continues to expand its presence across various cities in India, we continue to nurture the existing talent and build a strong base of world class Infoscions."

Mr N.R. Narayana Murthy, Chairman and Chief Mentor of Infosys, and Mr Mohandas Pai, Chief Financial Officer, inaugurated the celebrations at the development centre on August 18.
