The Manipal Hospital on Wednesday announced its first healthcare link in the Northern region through a telemedicine tie-up with the Gurgaon-based Privat Hospital.

The tie-up will enable tele-consultations for a range of ailments with the Bangalore-based super-speciality hospital through patients at Privat Hospital, according to a release.

During the launch, Manipal Hospital demonstrated the applications of Sentinel Node Probe, one of the new nuclear medicine treatments for cancerous tumours.

Manipal Hospital, the flagship hospital of the Manipal Education and Medical Group, also plans to further expand its Northern base.

The group has six super-speciality healthcare hubs including one each in Nepal and Malaysia.

Televital is to be the technology partner for the alliance.
