Corporate Disputes More time sought to complete inventory of Priyamvada's assets Our Legal Correspondent
Kolkata , Aug. 10 THE three Special Officers appointed by the Calcutta High Court for making an inventory of articles, assets and properties lying in the houses of the late Priyamvada Birla at Kolkata, Allahabad, New Delhi and Mumbai submitted their reports on Wednesday before Mr Justice K. J. Sengupta, who directed that these be circulated among the parties. The Special Officers have asked for more time to complete the inventory. It is learnt that many new assets and properties, which were not in the affidavit of assets placed before the Court, are now being discovered. . The officers have sought more time to complete the full inventory of all personal belongings, works of art, silver utensils and other assets, which still need to be inventorised. It is pointed out that while the inventory of the Allahabad house is almost over, that of Birla Park House at Kolkata will be taken up on August 16. The report reveals that while there are still many more undisclosed iron chests, which are to be opened for the purpose of inventory, work on the Mumbai and New Delhi houses has not yet been completed. Both the parties are cooperating with the Special Officers.
