IOC, GAIL bag awards

INDIAN Oil Corporation Ltd has bagged five awards in various categories at the National Petroleum Management Programme (NPMP) Awards for excellence.

GAIL (India) Ltd got the NPMP award in recognition of excellence in Enterprise Category for Dahej-Vijaipur pipeline project.

In the Enterprise Category, IOC bagged the industry best award for excellence in human resource management. It was also presented with the award of excellence in women development for spearheading sustained initiatives to provide growth and development opportunities to women employees in various assignments.

IOC's research and development centre received award in creativity and innovation in team category. Mr K.N. Sah, Master Technician at IOC's Gujarat Refinery, was awarded a special cash price for developing a system of uninterrupted operation of Air Demand Analysers in Sulphur Recovery Unit.

The Petroleum Minister, Mr Mani Shankar Aiyar, gave away the awards at a function here.
