Sona Koyo Q1 net up 17 pc

SONA Koyo Steering Systems Ltd on Monday announced that its net profit has gone up 17.2 per cent to Rs 2.79 crore in the first quarter of the current fiscal.

The company said its sales jumped 26 per cent to a record Rs 93 crore in the quarter compared to Rs 74 crore in the same quarter last year.

According to a company statement, the growth in sales is a result of its efforts to increase export sales. The company's exports grew 300 per cent in the last quarter.

The company's stock closed at Rs 72.65 on the Bombay Stock Exchange on Monday, up 2 per cent.
