Bengal Tools to launch range of farm equipment

Chennai , July 9

BENGAL Tools Ltd, a Shrachi Group company, plans to introduce a range of agriculture equipment such as transplanters and threshers under the Shrachi brand.

Mr Ravi Todi, Managing Director, Shrachi Group, told Business Line that the company, which has been selling Chinese-make power tillers for over a decade, hopes to ramp up sales in the coming years.

Bengal Tools imports the tillers in semi-knocked down (SKD) form and assembles them at its units in Bangalore and Kolkata. Next month,it is planning to introduce a new range of tillers that use the `direct-injection technology.'
