Manmohan, Sonia to meet Left leaders on BHEL divestment

Our Bureau

New Delhi , July 6

WITH a view to resolving the deadlock between the Government and the Left parties over the disinvestment in BHEL, the Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh, and the UPA Chairperson, Ms Sonia Gandhi, are likely to meet the Left parties here on July 10.

Ms Gandhi had met Left party leaders last week on the issue but the meeting ended inconclusively.

The Left parties have been demanding a reversal of the Government's decision to divest 10 per cent stake in BHEL.
