I-T electronic clearing scheme

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Income-Tax Department is implementing electronic clearance scheme in Thiruvananthapuram for faster issue and clearance of funds of the salaried class from the 2005-06 financial year.

All salaried assesses with refund claims have been directed to clearly mention the name of his/her bank, the nine-digit MICR (magnetic ink character recognition) code and the savings bank account number at the time of filing return of income in Form 2E.
