Hyderabad , June 26

INDIA is all set to emerge as a major growth centre for civil aviation and technology player in aerospace technology, both opening up tremendous market and human resource potential, noted missile scientist, Mr R.N. Agarwal, has said.

The entry of private players and the fact that they are acquiring a couple of hundreds of civil aircraft, shows the immense potential in the country. Similarly, technology strides in missiles, aerospace and satellites have attracted foreign countries to seek Indian expertise, Mr Agarwal, who is the Project Director of AGNI missile and Director of the Hyderabad-based, Advanced Systems Laboratory said.

Speaking at a meeting organised by the Indian Institute of Aero-Space Technology & Management (IIASTM), here, Mr Agarwal said emphasis should be on generating trained manpower and creating physical infrastructure to turn the potential into reality.
