The Hindu Business Line : Gary Bennett to head Max NY Life

MAX New York Life on Wednesday named Mr Gary Bennett as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer. Mr Bennett will assume the position in July 2005, pending regulatory approvals, the company said in a statement.

Mr Bennett has 25 years of experience in the insurance industry. He is taking over the reins of Max New York Life from his current position as CEO of Max New York Life's Hong Kong operations.

Mr Bennett succeeds Mr Dennis J. Pedini, who has been Max New York Life's interim CEO since the start of the year. Mr Anuroop `Tony' Singh, who has now moved to a non-executive Vice Chairman's role, led the company from its launch until the end of last year.
