Air France to have flights from Bangalore

Our Bureau

Chennai , May 12

AIR France will start operating five flights a week out of Bangalore from October 31 taking the airline's weekly services out of India to 26, according to Mr Dominique Gass, General Manager, India, Air France.

The airline plans to operate daily flights out of Bangalore next year, Mr Gass said. The airline currently operates daily flights out of Delhi and Mumbai.

Though Air France does not have services out of Chennai, the airline has a code share with its Sky Team Alliance partner, Delta Air Lines, which allows the airline to market the seats without quota restrictions.

Mr Gass pointed out that with the acquisition of the Netherlands-based KLM by Air France, the two airlines were able to pool their resources.
