Praful Patel visiting Kerala

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Union Civil Aviation Minister, Mr Praful Patel, is arriving here to hold discussions on the development of the proposed Kannur airport.

Announcing this, an official spokesman said here that the talks would be held at 6.45 a.m. at Thiruvananthapuram International Airport on April 29. To be held in the presence of the Chief Minister, Mr Oommen Chandy, the discussions would see Members of Parliament and the State Legislature from Kannur district, members of the Airport Development Committee and high officials from the Civil Aviation Department in attendance. The State Transport Secretary, Ms Sheela Thomas, will hold discussions in this background with the Joint Secretary in the Union Civil Aviation Ministry in New Delhi on Tuesday, the spokesman added.
