Elitmus setting up virtual job platform

Our Bureau

Chennai , April 14

ELITMUS Evaluation Private Ltd is creating a virtual recruitment marketplace where fresh graduates and companies meet in real time. It helps candidates (with up to two years experience) get a single interface to seek jobs across many companies, and for firms it creates a platform to identify the right talent across locations, according to Mr Aseem Marwaha, Managing Director, eLitmus.

So far, 53 companies, including Dell, GE, Caritor, eFunds, Ness Technologies, Virtusa and ChemBiotek have signed up with eLitmus, which is promoted by IT recruitment major, Browse Consulting. "We hope to attract about 2,000 companies in two years," he told newspersons.

In this recruitment model, candidates have the option of appearing at any of the 11 cities for an aptitude test (called pH test). This forms one of the key selection criteria for recruiters, who then use the Rule-Based Engine (it enables to search for the right candidates having the right eligibility criteria) to seek talent, he said.

Unlike other companies, which are restricted to recruiting from college campuses or cities in which they have a physical presence, eLitmus' corporate clients have the benefit of reaching candidates across the country, he said.

Candidates, on the other hand ,need to attend just one test. The pH test is conducted once every month in 11 cities, including Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai (to be expanded to 22 cities next year) and candidates can enrol for it directly on www.elitmus.com.
