Elico, SKU sign pact to impart industry training

Hyderabad , April 14

ELICO Ltd and the Sri Krishnadevaraya University (SKU), Anantapur, have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) under the aegis of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).

The MoU would help in building a synergistic relationship between the industry and institutes. It is expected to provide inputs to improve the quality of education and to impart industry-related training.

Mr Ramesh Datla, Managing Director, Elico and past Chairman, CII-AP, and Prof. Md. Iqbal Ahmed, Vice-Chancellor, SKU, signed the MoU in the presence of Dr G. Vivekanand, Vice-Chairman of CII-AP and Managing Director, Visakha Industries.

Elico plans to sponsor students in M.Sc. Instrumentation course from the academic year 2004-05.

The selected candidates have to enter into an agreement and work for a minimum period of three years with Elico after completion of their sponsored study.
