Bangalore , March 31

WIPRO Ltd has announced that it has not received any notice from the Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA). However, one of its contract manufacturers for Wipro Baby Soft Baby Oil has received such a notice, the company announced in a release.

Wipro and the contract manufacturer are "studying the notice and the contract manufacturer would respond appropriately to the authorities on the issues raised," the release stated.

Wipro, however, reiterated that all Baby Soft products are stringently checked and meet the "highest standards of quality and safety."

"In Wipro Baby Soft Baby Oil, we are using a highly refined grade of mineral oil, which meets the standards of Indian Pharmacopia (IP Grade). Mineral oil is used in multiple skin care products," the release added.
