Chidambaram clears 19 FDI proposals worth Rs 20.66 cr

FRANCE'S Vossloh Cogifer SA and Spain's Amur Investments's proposal to acquire 100 per cent stake in Beekay Engineering & Castings Ltd engaged in manufacturing castings steel forgings involving foreign direct investment worth Rs 5.03 crore was among the various FDI proposals cleared by the Government on Friday.
A total of 19 FDI proposals involving FDI worth Rs 20.66 crore were approved by the Finance Minister, Mr P. Chidambaram, here on Friday.
The Sweden-based Elekta's proposal to set up a wholly owned subsidiary to undertake trading activities involving FDI worth Rs 4.37 crore was also okayed by the Minister.
The Thailand-based lo Ting Kwuang Company Ltd's proposal to set up a wholly owned subsidiary with investment worth Rs 4.37 crore to undertake wholesale cash and carry trade for all types of bedding and soft furnishing products was also okayed by the Minister.
Swedish company AWB Ltd's proposal to set up a wholly owned subsidiary with FDI worth Rs 4.37 crore, too, was cleared by the Minister.
