Fast-track clearance at international airports for travellers mooted

Our Bureau

New Delhi , Oct. 31

LENGTHY queues at international airports for air travellers may soon be a thing of the past, though it would come at a price.

The Ministry of Tourism has mooted the idea of "fast-track" clearance at all international airports for those passengers willing to pay a nominal extra fee. We hope to be able to implement the proposal in about six months. It will be a personal choice of the passenger who will have the option of getting fast-track clearance on payment of a nominal fee," the Minister for Tourism, Ms Renuka Choudhury, said at a press conference here.
