KOTTAYAM: An All Kerala Medical Exhibition (Medex- 2004) will be held from October 30 to November 7 at the Medical College Grounds in Kottayam under the joint auspices of Medical College Students Union and Lions Club of Kottayam Elites.

Diagnosis of diseases, body science, advances in treatment and surgery, health care, medical education, trauma care and first aid are the special features of this big show. All the departments will put up stalls in the exhibition.

There will be explanations to students and public on pregnancy care, the care for new born babies, diseases of children, cancer and road accidents. Seminars have been arranged on all the days.

The Chief Minister, Mr Oomman Chandy, will inaugurate the Medex 2004 at 4 p.m. on October 30. The State Water Resources Minister, Mr Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan, will inaugurate the Medical College Website. Mr Suresh Kurup, Member of Parliament, will release the health guide. Mr Cyriac Thomas, Vice-Chancellor of MG University, will inaugurate the seminars.
