Indian killed in Dubai airport project mishap

Abu Dhabi , Sept. 28

ONE Indian worker was killed and 12 injured in the steel reinforcement wall collapse in a new project at the Dubai International Airport on Monday, the Indian Consul-General, Mr Yashwant Sinha, said.

Mr Sinha told Business Line that one of the five workers killed in the accident was an Indian, while 12 of the 17 workers hospitalised were also Indians hailing from different parts of the country.

The project is part of the second phase of expansion of the Dubai airport.
