Edusat team of scientists feted

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala Education Minister, Mr E.T. Muhammed Basheer, has congratulated scientists who are responsible for the successful launch of Edusat, the country's exclusive satellite for educational services, the other day.

An official spokesman quoted the Minister as saying that the success achieved with Edusat's launch would give the right boost in confidence for the scientists as they engage themselves in such future ventures.

The Minister sent congratulatory messages to Dr G. Madhavan Nair, Chairman, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Mr G. Ravindranath, Director, Geo-synchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV) Project, and Dr B.N. Suresh, Director, Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), Thiruvananthapuram.
