BSNL-MTNL merger

This refers to the editorial, `Timely integration' (Business Line, September 21). As the leading telecom players in the public sector, their merger may not pose any problem either to the investors or the subscribers.

But the shareholders and the employees of the MTNL will have to be taken into confidence before the merger is finalised.
