Thiruvananthapuram , Sept. 5

THE Kerala Motor Vehicles Department will introduce a hologram in all vehicle documents being issued from September 15, says an official release quoting Mr K.P. Somarajan, State Transport Commissioner. This initiative is being launched with the objective of preventing the sale of stolen vehicles and also to eliminate tax evasion.

According to the release, a three-dimensional hologram will be incorporated in all registration certificates, driving licences, permits and vehicle fitness certificates being issued by the Kerala Motor Vehicles Department from September 15 onwards. The hologram will also be included in all tax clearance certificates, tax licences and all other certificates being issued by the department from the same date.

The release urges vehicle owners and motorists to ensure that the hologram is present in all documents issued by the department from September 15.
