CRY quiz for corporates

Our Bureau

Hyderabad , Aug. 30

CHILD Relief and You (CRY), a non-profit organisation, is organising a quiz for corporates on September 6 here.

The proceeds of the quiz would be utilised for funding education of destitute children.

The corporate quiz, named FACT (Free A Child Today), would be conducted by Mr Derek O'Brien, a well-known quizmaster, and his KQ Score team.

The quiz, an annual feature in Bangalore, is being held for the first time in Hyderabad.

Marking the 25th anniversary of CRY, the quiz would have the theme of child rights. Microsoft, GE and Keane are expected to take part in the quiz, a CRY press release said here.

"We will collect a participation fee of Rs 8,000 a team. The proceeds would be channelised to child development projects supported by CRY," it said. An amount of Rs 8,000 would suffice to take care of education of 10 children for a year, it said.

The winners from six regional rounds at Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Chennai, Mumbai and Delhi would vie for the top slot at the finals scheduled to be held at Delhi on September 26.
