Co-operatives Marketing - New Products & Services Milma arm to resume marketing Our Bureau
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Thiruvananthapuram Regional Cooperative Milk Producers' Union (TRCMPU), affiliate of Milma, which ended the joint venture with Mother Dairy Foods earlier this year, proposes to bring out more value-added milk products to the market all by itself. As a first step, a standardised variety of milk and kulfi will be launched during the current season itself, the TRCMPU, an affiliate of Milma, said in a statement here. Standardised milk has a higher content of fat and SNF (solid non-fatty matter) and is thicker than toned milk. This milk is being promoted as ideal for preparing Onam sweets. As a promotional offer, standardised milk will be sold to consumers at no extra cost. Kulfi, a North Indian dessert based on caramelised milk, will be sold at Rs 12 for a 50 mg pack.
