Move to modernise Kerala's coir sector

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The State Government proposes to conduct a detailed study into the problems facing the coir industry in Kerala. As part of this exercise, the Director of Coir Development has invited suggestions from interested parties. Those with suggestions on measures that need to be taken to modernise the coir industry and improve its productivity can submit their views, says an official press release. Submissions must be sent in 10 days to the Director, Coir Development, Coir Bhavan, Nandavanam, Thiruvananthapuram-33, the release adds.
