Infosys to expand in Pune

BANGALORE: Infosys Technologies Ltd acquired 100 acres of land in Phase II of Pune's Infotech Park in its bid to expand its operations in the city, a company news release said.

The company, which already has 25 acres in the city, plans to invest close to Rs 250 crore in the facility over the next few years. The expansion would help Infosys add 5,000 software professionals to its existing strength of 2,200 people. The Pune development centre generated Rs 380 crore during the year 2002-03.
