Coimbatore , July 29

IT-ENABLED service provider, Vee Technologies, belonging to the Sona Valliappa group, which manages a string of educational institutions in Salem, is all set to tap business process outsourcing (BPO) potential.Vee Technologies, which has a corporate office and its first BPO centre in Bangalore, has recently opened its second centre in Salem, which, according to its promoters, has the potential to develop as a strong base for BPO going by the vast pool of IT students emerging from the technical institutions in the region.

"With overseas clients increasingly becoming conscious of quality and price in outsourcing services, opportunities are opening up for the tier-III centres. Unlike the current trend of companies starting BPO outfits in metros, Vee Technologies has chosen to start its BPO centre in Salem," said Mr V. Chockalingam, Chief Executive and Founder of Vee Technologies. Vee Technologies, which engages 500 employees in its Salem centre has plans to double this strength soon.
