New development council for cement industry formed

New Delhi , July 21

THE Central Government has established a 25-member Development Council for the cement industry. Industry sources said that this new Council would have a term of two years. Mr B.L. Jain, President, Cement Manufacturers' Association (CMA), and President Maihar Cement, has been appointed as the Chairman of the new council.

The other members of the council include Mr Suresh Neotia, Chairman, Gujarat Ambuja Cements Ltd, Mr N. Srinivasan, Vice-Chairman & Managing Director, India Cements Ltd, Mr Y.H. Dalmia, President, Dalmia Cement (B) Ltd, Mr J.P. Nayak, Executive Director, L&T and Mr P.R. Ramasubramaneya Raja, Chairman & Managing Director, Madras Cements Ltd.
