Matters of governance

The article "Never-ending newspaper stories" (Business Line, July 11) was really interesting and has shown the humorous side of newspaper stories.

What must be remembered is that India is a democracy, and in such a set-up, it is matters of governance that take precedence over other things in the media. So, the media is just a reflection of the happenings in the country. It is very normal that such issues are brought to the fore, as they are politically interwoven with the area of governance.
