IndianOil, BSNL to cross-sell products, services

Our Bureau

NEW DELHI, July 8

INDIANOIL has signed a Memorandum of Collaboration (MoC) with Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd. (BSNL) to cross-sell their products and services. The collaboration between the two companies is designed to leverage each other's infrastructure and size so as to deliver better products and service to their customers.

Under the terms of the MoC, IndianOil and BSNL would develop exclusive loyalty programmes to retain and expand their customer base.

"While IndianOil will explore to utilise BSNL's expertise to build connectivity between its widely spread petrol pumps, supply points and offices, BSNL will also have the opportunity to utilise IndianOil's large network of petrol stations to sell their various products. IndianOil will also exploit BSNL's capabilities for creating a truck-tracking system for its PowerPlus fleet card customers," Mr M.S. Ramachandran, Chairman, IndianOil said.

As part of the MoC, BSNL will have the opportunity to set up and offer communications business centres at attractive rates to customers at IndianOil stations.

IndianOil's Indane distributorship network will be engaged by BSNL for selling products like recharge coupons, Sancharnet cards, etc.
