Clean currency

It is reported that several government departments urge banks to supply stapled notes and that the UFBU — the umbrella organisation of bank employees and officers — will meet the RBI top brass shortly to apprise them of the need to continue with the stapled notes. It is unfortunate that instead of accepting a good change, the UFBU should oppose it. The RBI should enforce its authority.
