Mauritius woos India Inc

HYDERABAD: The Mauritius Government has asked the India Inc, to use its port to route their products to African countries.

"The Indian industry can benefit from our proximity to the African Continent," Mr Karl Offmann, President of Mauritius, told a Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (Fapcci) delegation. The Fapcci team is on a 10-day visit to Mauritius and Dubai.

Mr Offmann said his country was a member of the South African Development Council, according to a FAPCCI statement. Mr Omprakash Tibrewala, President of Fapcci, said his side was keen to have tie-ups with Mauritius entrepreneurs.
