CHENNAI, June 4

"KNOCK Knock I'm Looking to Marry" is as desi as they come. Ms Anita Udeep's first digital venture also marks her debut as the writer, producer and director of this contemporary romantic comedy, which is set in Bangalore.

Ms Udeep is the CEO of the Chennai based N-Viz Entertainment.

Speaking at a press conference announcing the film, Ms Udeep, said the movie was shot entirely in digital format and cost around Rs 75 lakh with target revenue of Rs 4 crore.

She said that there was a demand for these desi English movies both in the domestic and at the international markets.

Ms Udeep, who hold a master's degree in Film and TV production from Los Angeles, said the world is waking up to the various flavours of India and this genre of movie showcased the essence of the problems faced by young adults who are caught between traditional and the contemporary.

Pentamedia Graphics has provided the visual effects of this movie.

The cast and crew of the film are fresh mint, starting with the heroine Radhi who has starred in films like Gummalam and Enge Enathu Kavithai.

Cast opposite her is Suhaas Ahuja, who hosts the Gaana Bajana for the music channel Southern Spice.

Though there is no song and dance sequence, the opening score is by Mr Mahesh Shankar of Flavours and Dance like a Man fame.
