MUMBAI: The Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology, Gandhinagar, has been granted university status by the Gujarat Government.

Following a MoU signed between Reliance Industries Ltd and the Gujarat Government in June 2000, the DA-IICT was established on a 50-acre campus in Gandhinagar. It offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses and offers a B. Tech programme that focuses on information and communication technology.

The company expects the focus on the convergence of information and communication to significantly improve productivity in all sectors and create more growth opportunities.
