AirTel cuts rates

Our Bureau

NEW DELHI, April 16

AIRTEL, the cellular service provided by Bharti Tele-Ventures, on Wednesday announced ``significant'' benefits for both its pre-paid and post-paid category subscribers making mobile-to-mobile, national (STD) and international long distance (ISD) calls.

In keeping with the competition and the tariff war prevailing in the sector, AirTel has reduced the airtime rates on all STD calls for both the subscriber categories to just 50 paise per minute. Besides, there would be no airtime charges on any ISD calls for both the categories.
