Rubber steady

Our Correspondent

KOTTAYAM, Feb. 19

rubberRUBBER prices continued to stagnate on Wednesday with no changes on reports of improved supply to the market.

Prices, which started stagnating since February 10, stayed inactive for the last 10 days. The market sentiments mostly depended on weather conditions and if there are no summer showers in the State, the prices might pick up according to market analysts. On the other hand if rains occur, the inflow to the market would enhance, they said.

There has been consistent demand for block rubber ISNR 20 and ungraded rubber. All the grades continued to be steady with RSS 4 ruling at Rs 44 a kg, RSS 5 at RS 43, block rubber ISNR 20 at Rs 43, latex 60 per cent at Rs 32 and ungraded rubber at Rs 42 as on Tuesday.
