Jet extends `Everyone can fly' scheme

Our Bureau

NEW DELHI, Feb. 18

THE good times for the domestic air-traveller continue. And what sweetens the deal is that, unlike during the previous year there is no cut-off date till when the reduced fares offered by Jet Airways will be valid.

Earlier, the airline had announced that `Everyone can fly' scheme which offers huge discounts of between 30-60 per cent on tickets booked at least 15 days in advance was to end on March 31 this year.

However, on Tuesday the airline said that the scheme would continue till further notice. The scheme is offered on 50 sectors including sectors such as Delhi-Guwahati, Bhopal-Mumbai and Chennai-Kochi among others.

The airline initially launched the scheme on August 1 last year but kept extending its validity.

Meanwhile, the state-owned Indian Airlines said on Tuesday that it was examining the issue of whether to continue with the Apex scheme, which also offers discounts for tickets booked in advance.

It is interesting to note that in July last year, when Jet had introduced the discounted fare scheme, IA followed suit although it announced it after the initial announcement of the private sector airline.
