Tomatoes for the asking!

A vegetable vendor sorting out tomatoes at the wholesale market in Chennai. Tomato prices are on the fall again owing to ample supply from Adoni in Andhra Pradesh. About 40-50 lorries each carrying 10 tonnes of the fruit are unloaded in the market daily. Presently, a box containing 13-14 kg of tomatoes is sold for about Rs 30-40.
