Credit seminar from today

BANGALORE: The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Nabard) is organising a State-level credit seminar on December 19.

The bank, which had prepared the Base Level Potential Linked Credit Plan for each of the 27 districts for a period of five years coterminus with the Tenth Five Year Plan has updated the annual credit plan for the year 2003-04.

The seminar will focus on exploitable resources, potentials under major sectors of the rural economy and the credit requirement of bankable projects for development in each district based on the available infrastructure.

The strategies and measures to be taken to realise the exploitable potential in agriculture and rural development will also be discussed.
