Our Bureau

BANGALORE: The city will soon add a new dimension to its growing reputation as an international centre for IT, BT and now IP from March next.

Bangalore will become a centre for IP (international paintings) of contemporary works from all parts of the world. And the lovers of art will have a bonanza of the paintings from countries such as Brazil, Australia, Canada, England and the US. And at what cost? Just Rs 5 per entry at the Chitrakala Parishat (CKP), which with 10 galleries would be the venue of a permanent international paintings exhibition centre.

About 50 paintings from the countries are expected to adorn gallery thanks to the donations made by artists from these countries. A boon for students for art too, who can have a ready reference to the works of masters of different styles and creativity.
